Queen's Jubilee Waltz Competition - Tuesday 9th August 2022

On Tuesday 9th August Leek ladies took to the course to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee with a waltz competition. The competition was followed by an afternoon tea. Thanks to Nick Wittich and staff who pulled out all the stops for an excellent spread. The day was organised by Lynne Ball with her usual attention to detail. Thank you Lynne for giving us a day to remember.

The winners of the competition with 80 pts on countback were Hazel McCrady and Christine Edwards supported by Chris Birch as a wild card.

Lynne Ball, Ann Cockersole and Sheila Hollins also came in with 80 pts.

The winners of the day were presented with Jubilee commemorative glasses.

Well done ladies.

Lady Captain's Report - June 2022

I also wish to thank everyone who supported me on my Lady Captain’s Day (21st June). I certainly had a great day thanks to all the ladies for their good wishes, cards and presents. Lady Captain’s Fashion Show

The Fashion Show recently held by Lady Captain was a great success. An enjoyable night was had by all the ladies. It was nice to welcome so many visitors to the club.

The event was supported by approximately 80 ladies. The majority of the models were volunteers from Leek Golf Club. Very glamorous and professional they were too. The total raised on the evening for Dougie Mac was a healthy £583.

I would like to thank the models and all the ladies who helped on the evening also a big thank you to all who attended.

Your support is very much appreciated. I could not do it without you.
