Alan Lockett, organiser of the Winter League would like to thank all participants for their resilience through the very trying season which resulted in only three Saturdays being postponed despite the dreadful weather. Well done to our greens staff.

This year was the 39th Anniversary and carried some very fond memories of the characters and distinguished members who had been participants over the years and the previous thirty eight partnerships who had held the trophy.

Congratulations to this year’s champions, Zulf Kalifa and octogenarian, John Tatton, for prevailing in a last day encounter when any one of the top three teams could have won.

Also, congratulations to Kevin Boult and Michael Nadin on winning The Shield with a combined score of 87 points.

Alan thanks Peter Cordon and the house staff for a most enjoyable Winter League Dinner and the office staff for their assistance in organising the event.
