The new season began on March 4th with 41 ladies taking to the course in the Joyce Ridgeway Prize. Joyce a long standing and much respected member of the club has given generously of her time over the years to the Club and the Ladies Section.
The scheduled 15 hole individual Stableford Competition was reduced to 14 holes due to hedge trimming alongside the 7th green. The results for the day were in silver division Marion Lilley in 1st place with a score of 28, 2nd place Dorothie Cowburn with 27 followed by Nora Boulton in 3rd place with 26. In bronze division Karen Wilshaw came in with an excellent score of 32, followed by Gill Armstrong in 2nd place with 29. Shelia Hollins also scored 29 putting her in 3rd place after a count-back with Gill.
At lunch time the Lady Captain arranged a craft table and raffle which raised £130 for her chosen charity.
Thankyou to all those ladies who took part on what was a very enjoyable day.
