On Sunday 31st August 2014 35 ladies took part in Mr President’s day for Ladies.
A putting competition took place on the practice green followed by photos on the first tee with Mr President John Carr. Photos were taken by Mr Lincoln Boulton Senior Vice President. Brian Cockersole acted as starter for the day. Refreshments in the Millennium Hut on the 11th tee were most welcome. These were served with a welcoming smile by the President’s wife (Wendy), Carol a friend of Wendy’s and Mr Captain’s wife (Jackie).
The President had certainly done us proud on this special day and the prizes were also extremely generous and we thank Mr President and Wendy and all concerned who made this a day to remember.
President' Day overall winner was Lady Captain Karen Griffiths with a score of 36 pts.
1st Silver Division Paula Parkes 35pts, 2nd Marilyn Boulton 34 pts, 3rd Angela Broadhurst 32pts.
1st Bronze Division Andrea Martin 33 pts on count back, 2nd Gill Damjanovic 33 pts, 3rd Anne Cockersole 32 pts.
The putting competition was won by Jenny Cordon who had 16 putts over 9 holes.
The “Nearest the Pin competitions on the 4th, 7th and 9th were won by Anne Cockersole,Marilyn Boulton and Jayne Baxter respectively.
Nel Boulton achieved the only gross 2 of the day on the 11th hole.
