Tuesday 1st October 2013, where has the year gone? Already we are into October and playing the Medal Final. The Medal Final is for all those players who during the year have won one of the Monthly Medal Competitions. The weather was good, the Course was and is fabulous. Many thanks to Lincoln Boulton and the Greens Staff for their hard work on and around the course. It is certainly a course for us to be proud of.

32 players took part in the Medal with some eligible for the Medal Final. Nine birdies were scored in total with the 6th hole playing as the hardest hole on the day. Closely followed, of course, by the 15th.The winner of the Silver Division Medal was Dorothie Cowburn with a nett 71. Closely followed by Jo Peacock with a nett 72 and lowest gross on the day of 76. well played Ladies.

In the Bronze division the winner was Joy Briggs, who scored an excellent 69 and was also the lowest gross score in Bronze Division. Anita Wainwright also netted a 69. Both Ladies lowered their handicaps so very well played to both of them.

The Winner of the Medal Final was also Dorothie Cowburn. Dot also won last years October Medal, there must be something she likes about this time of year ! Well played Dot.
