Sunday 21st June 2015 saw 32 ladies take part in Mr Captain’s day for Ladies. Photographs were taken on the first tee with Mr Captain Trevor Eccleston. The photographer for the day was Neil Parton. Dave Allen also surprised us by catching us on his video camera. After the photographs it was down to business on the first tee with Dave Smith being the starter. As we approached the Millennium Hut on the 11th tee we were met with an array of pink and white decoration in and around the hut. The strawberries and cream were most welcome followed by the cake which I should have resisted but didn’t. Mr Captain’s wife Jean and her helpers bedecked in pink tee shirts quoting ‘Captain’s Helpers’ more than played their part. Thank you ladies.

Janet Gilbert was the winner of Nearest the line on the 17th. Anyone beating that would probably have to be on the line as she was only ½ an inch away.
Mr Captain congratulated all the winners and thanked Peter Cordon for doing the cards, the catering staff, Denise Stazaker for the lovely flowers and all his helpers for the day.
The Captain had certainly done us proud on this special day and the prizes were extremely generous and we thank Mr Captain and Jean and all concerned who made this a day to remember.
