Our Lady Captain did an excellent job in arranging the last Mixed Friendly of the season against Stafford Castle on Friday 17th August. 

This was the first time the fixture had taken place and it is hoped to make it an annual event with the date for the return match already arranged for next year. 

Leek almost managed a white wash but were let down by of all people the team of Mr Captain and Lady Captain. By all accounts they were well and truly thrashed by a lady! Mr Captain did seem to spend more time in the trees than on the fairway and Lady Captain declared that she was saving herself for the Pro's Comp on Sunday. 

After the game we were excellently wined and dined by Tony, Adam and Staff. Five Stars chaps!

The final result was Leek 9, Stafford Castle 1.
