On the 29th October 2024 Leek Golf Club Ladies hosted the Halloween Howler Competition. The format ran as teams of 3 Stableford over 15 holes. The competition was well organised and ran well after a damp start.
13 teams took part in a well-received competition, everyone seemed to have enjoyed the day. Teams were mixed from home and away. Early bookings were taken for next year Tuesday the 28st October 2025.
A Halloween themed light meal followed the competition of freshly made Pumpkin or Tomato and Basil Soup with a bread roll, and cakes to follow. Most competitors stayed to eat and we received lovely compliments about the course, the competition and the meal. Quite a few stayed on to enjoy chatting with their friends.

3rd On countback - Ann Cockersole (Leek), Jean Greenhalgh (Westwood), Theresa Booth (Westwood) scoring 61 points
Nearest the pin on Nemesis 9th Stella Smith (Denstone) with 462cm
