After rain and closure of the course on the previous day, Tuesday saw lovely sunshine for this year's Lady Captain's Day. 48 ladies took part in the Lady Captain's competition. Ian Beeson was Mr Starter who then met the ladies along with Lady Captain Pat Beeson at the half way house to provide much needed refreshments. After completing the match, the ladies then stayed for a meal and the presentation in the clubhouse. Prior to the days competition results being announced a small presentation took place for competitions played to date. Four ladies kindly donated prizes for two of these competitions they were Joyce Ridgeway, Natalie White, Veronica Bromley and Joan Wilshaw.
The results for the day were as follows:
Lady Captains Prize - Sheila Woolley 35 pts on count back
Silver Division - 1st. Leann Nixon 35 pts. 2nd Karen Griffiths - 35 pts. 3rd - Nel Boulton - 34 pts.
Bronze Division - 1st Janet Gilbert - 35 pts. 2md Gill Damjonivic - 34 pts. 3rd - Pam Glaves 33 pts on back 9 from Ann Cockersole.
Nearest the pin on the 7th was Jo Peacock and nearest the line on the 17th was Glenys Millhouse.

Lady Captain expressed her sincere thanks to the ladies for joining her on the day and for the cards, flowers and gifts she received. They were very much appreciated.
