The Lady Captain’s charity day was held on 28th September in aid of her chosen charity, Ward 202, chemotherapy unit, Royal Stoke University Hospital.
36 players competed for the “3 Shires Trophy” playing a 4BBB and all players amazingly managed to play in lovely weather. After a meal in the clubhouse, the Lady Captain thanked everyone for supporting the charity day with special thanks to sponsors F. Ball & Co; B.K. Industrial Supplies; Whites Laundry; Cottage Delights; Sainsbury’s and The Retreat. Thanks also went for donations from Greg Rogula, Mike Andrews and Mr & Mrs M. Rushton.
She went on to thank everyone involved in the day, Greg & Jake for doing the cards, Nel Boulton & Deb Barnett for registration; greens staff, bar & catering staff, office staff and Mr Starter Alan Bonehill.
