Lady Captain’s Awayday – Denstone Golf Course

On Monday 21 August the Lady Captain hosted an awayday at Denstone Golf Course.

Finding Denstone proved a bit tricky for some ladies and finding Denstone College and the golf course even trickier but eventually everyone arrived and we set off (shotgun style) at 12.30 to play 9 holes.

The rain held off and some great scores were returned. Following an excellent cream tea at Denstone Farm Shop the results were announced – all very close.

1ST PLACE Hazel McCrady – 20 points (mainly due to Hazel’s new driver)

2ND PLACE Susan Watson on countback

3RD PLACE Pat Beeson (can’t remember the score but I am sure it was good)
