The Leek Ladies Open took place on Wednesday July 2^nd with 33 teams of 3 entered from 28 different club members. The weather was kind, not to hot, no rain but a warm wind did  grow during the day. The course was in excellent condition which thanks must go to the hard working green staff. The ladies were welcomed to the event by Jenny Cordon and Jayne Baxter, professionally met on the first tee by starter Mr Andrew Baxter- thank you Andrew for your all day commitment-,  given  complimentary drinks, cakes and biscuit bars at the half way house served by members of the gentleman's senior section- thank you guys. A further thank you to the ladies and Richard Dawson, who sold raffle tickets for the Lady Captains Charity- The Macari Foundation which raised £297 and to those who took food orders. A big thank you to Greg Rogula the Professional for imputing teams to the competition and to Peter Cordon for putting all the scores in the computer and checking the cards to finalise the results. Gavin and his staff worked tirelessly all day serving  everyone with food and drinks. A final thank you to Mr Captain for his attendance and providing bottles of water.  Golf Birdie Boutique attended to offer ladies the chance to buy ladies golf clothing at bargain prices. A great day was had by all. Many ladies have already booked for the Ladies Open next year.

Nearest the pin on the 12th in 2. Unfortunately due to a calculation error this had to be cancelled. 

Nearest the pin in 3 on the 18th was Paula Parkes from Trentham
