Leek ladies and their invited guests enjoyed an excellent day’s golf. The course was in great condition and only a small amount of rain fell. Dave Allen kindly acted as starter and Disco Dave manned the halfway house serving drinks and cakes. Hilary Tovell, Jean Hickinbottom and Janet Allen registered all the players and the pro shop ran a 2s comp and checked the cards.

 Nearest the pin on the 9th was won by Marilyn Boulton and Julie Postlethwaite (guest) and on the 13th by Jayne Baxter and Linda Gregory (guest).

 In second place (countback on back 6) with 40 points was Nel Boulton and Julie Brown but the overall winners (countback on back 9) was Jenny Cordon and Julie Postlethwaite.
