An absolutely scorching day greeted the Ladies playing in our Annual Invitation Day on Tuesday 16th July,2013. Seven  Four-balls took to the Course playing a Stableford Format with their Full handicap Allowance. Good scores were the order of the day and none of the pairs disappointed ! The scores were just as fabulous as the weather. Just for a change the brollies were being put o good use as sunshades and not against the rain.

There were prizes for the first four pairs and for nearest the pin's on the 4th,9th and 13th hole. Nearest the pin on the 4th was Lady Captain Marilyn Boulton at a distance of 264cm. Nearest the pin on the 9th was Marcia Curl who also got her birdie and was just 96 cm away from the pin. On the 13th Paula Parkes was nearest the pin and was 18ft away. Yes, we had a change in measurement on this hole. Apparently 18 feet was too many centimetres to be counted!

The first prize was won by Lynne Ball and Carole Sargeant who amassed an enormous score of 46 stableford points.One of  the highlight being Lynne's par on the stroke index hole 15.  On second place were Sheila Woolley and Brenda Haddrell with 45 pts another brilliant score. Third were Linda Forrister and Sue Mills also with 45 points but losing out on the count back.In fourth place were Marilyn Boulton And Marcia Curl with 44 points. Very well played Ladies those score were amazing.
