On the 15^th July 16 ladies invited members from neighbouring golf clubs to play in Invitation Day. The format was a 4BBB stableford competition played off full handicap. Friendship, sunshine and good weather what more could we ask for?  Good golf yes that was also achieved with some excellent scores. The results were as follows:

1^st prize went to Jayne Baxter and Jennie Beardmore from Westwood with 45 pts.

2^nd prize Lisa Davies and Barbara Burgess from Newcastle with 43 pts.

3^rd prize Tina Edwards and Chris Millard from Barlaston with 42 pts.

There was a nearest the pin on the 4^th one for the home player and one for the visitor.

Embarrassingly no Leek player landed on the green.

Julie Postlethwaite from Wilmslow won nearest the pin for the visitor.

The 2’s competition run by the Pro’s shop was won by Barbara Burgess who achieved a 2 on the 7^th.Barbara went home weighed down with golf balls as she was the only lady to achieve a 2.
