Day one of the Festival of Golf was held on Saturday 7th July. After a week of heavy rain our ground staff did a tremendous job in getting the course open. They had been working on the course since 4.30am that morning so a big THANK YOU to all of them for keeping our Festival on course!

The golf was amazing with some very good scores coming in throughout the day, the best being Andrew Walker & Christopher Lilley with a super score of 42 points.

Another name to mention is a member of our ground staff Martin Wootton who won the nearest the pin on the 4th hole. Well done Martin.
