On Saturday, my Captain's Charity Open 2026 took place – the main charity fundraising event of the year. This year's Captain's charities are the Peter Alliss Wheelchair Foundation, CRY and Christie Hospital, and I would like to thank everyone who helped make the day such a fantastic success.

Firstly, a massive thank you to all of our hole sponsors. Your generous support plays a huge part in helping us raise as much money as possible for these fantastic charities.

Another huge thank you goes to everyone who played in the competition, bought raffle tickets and supported the event throughout the day. Every penny raised goes directly to our chosen charities and your generosity is hugely appreciated.

I'd also like to thank our starters, Mr President, John Pennington. the girls in the halfway house Gemma Bamford, Naomi Bamford, Laura Clarke and Diane Davis who worked tirelessly all day and our Junior Captain Theo Khalifa who ran the "Beat the Junior Captain" challenge on the 11th tee, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the day run so smoothly. Events like this simply wouldn't happen without your help.
