Every year the Leek Golf Club Captain's raise money for their chosen charities through various events at the golf club.

This year’s Club Captain, Ken Hollins has raised over £13,000 for his charities, which are PETER ALLIS WHEELCHAIR FOUNDATION. For nearly 20 years Leek Golf Club have presented children with a Powered Wheelchair through the Peter Allis Wheelchair Foundation. These powered wheelchairs are Life Changing for the children and their families.

Before the Captain's Farewell Dinner on Saturday 30th November there will be a Presentation at 7pm of a Powered Wheelchair to a young boy called Leon who is a 5 year old and goes to Horton Lodge School, he likes to watch Peppa Pig and loves to go swimming as well.

This will be the 2nd Powered Wheelchair that Leek Golf Club Captain's Charity has presented in 2019, earlier in the year we presented Oliver with his wheelchair at the Captain's Charity Open, please see the link below to watch.

WARD 202 - CANCER UNIT - NORTH STAFFS HOSPITAL They have been presented with a £5,000 cheque which will go towards the refurbishment of the Well Room at the Cancer Unit. The remainder of the money will be going to the PARKINSONS DISEASE SOCIETY. Both of these charities are very personal to our Captain Ken and his family.
